More to say about this soon (hopefully in essay form!) but if you think AI writing is labor-saving, or polished, or a useful metric of intellectual or aesthetic judgment, you are a fucking idiot and you should give your job to one of the thousands of adjuncts who knows better

Across many countries, we are witnessing an alarming crackdown: trade unionists being sacked or blacklisted, cultural workers are silenced, and campaigners being harassed or criminalised for their solidarity with Palestine.

A perfect memorial: "I couldnât help but hear Joshua this past week, his commentary, his theories, his hilarious quips and stupid puns, as brave, ingenious partisans in greater Los Angeles and across the country ran ICE agents out of neighborhoods..." https://t.co/qJhZpCo0u7

not only have universities failed to make a persuasive case against AI, some of them (like my employer) are actively peddling proprietary MLMs to their students đ
The takeaway here should not be that students are lazy. 18 year olds arenât the problem. The problem is that universities have failed to make a persuasive case to their âcustomersâ that they are educational institutions rather than companies that dispense âIâm employableâ stamps.
