Honored to be selected for the 2025 University Research Council (URC) Faculty Scholars Research Award Program! In collaboration with Dr. Victoria Heasley from @uc_health, we will be using this award to develop non-surgical therapies for removing painful bone spurs.

Led by the recently-graduated Dr. Rei Dos Santos, he and the rest of our team developed a new moldable polymer/ceramic composite material to promote healing in large-scale bone defects. These antioxidant implants were ROS-degradable, non-thermogenic, and highly osteogenic.
