🚨 Around 2 p.m., crews responded to an explosion at a building under construction in the 3500 block of S. Kanner Hwy. Three men were injured after a vapor flash while relighting pilot lights. Two were flown to a burn center & one by ground. The cause is under investigation. 🚨

Firefighters relied on tenders while an engine crew located a working hydrant. HAZMAT was also called as a precaution, but later cleared. The fire was in an AC unit on the side of the building & was quickly contained. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.

🚨 STRUCTURE FIRE - PALM CITY 🚨 Our crews were dispatched just before 1:40 PM to a commercial structure fire on SW Deggler Court In Palm City. Arriving units found heavy smoke coming from the building, where all occupants had already safely evacuated.

While many celebrated safely on July 4, not everyone was so lucky. This video shows our crew responding to an emergency that night. Earlier in Hobe Sound, individuals tried to set off mortars using PVC pipe & a 2x4. One was seriously injured & another suffered minor injuries.

🚨 DROWNING RESPONSE – JENSEN BEACH 🚨 Just after 3:30 PM, crews responded to the 200 block of NE Flax Terrace after a 1-year-old was found in a pool. MCSO was first on scene. Our crews arrived and took over care and transported the unresponsive child to Martin North Hospital.

🚧 Southbound lanes are currently shut down. Expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible. We’ll share updates as soon as more information becomes available.

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT – SB TURNPIKE CRASH 🚨 Please use caution & avoid the Turnpike southbound. Crews are responding to a single-vehicle crash w/heavy damage near the 128 mm. Our Special Ops Team is assisting w/extrication & LifeStar has also been requested for emergency transport.

🐢 SEA TURTLE SAVED 🐢 On Monday, a pregnant sea #turtle got lost & ended up doing laps in a residential pool on Jupiter Island. We teamed up with Jupiter Island Police, Florida Fish & Wildlife, @LoggerheadMC & @EcologicalAssoc, plus other volunteers to get her back home.

A huge turnout for a day filled with swimming, running, family fun, and heartfelt remembrance. Proceeds benefit Operation 300, supporting the children of fallen soldiers. We’re grateful to be part of such a meaningful tradition. 💙 #FrogmanSwim #JensenBeach #NeverForgotten

Our Fire Rescue & Ocean Rescue crews participated in & staffed the 14th Annual Aaron Vaughn Memorial Frogman Swim & Run today at Jensen Beach. This incredible event honors SOC Aaron C. Vaughn (SEAL), who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan in 2011.

🚨 UPDATE ON FPL FIRE IN INDIANTOWN 🚨 Our crews were dispatched shortly before 11:30 a.m. to a reported structure fire at the FPL plant in Indiantown. The fire has since been fully knocked down and is currently out. The flames were isolated to a single transformer.
