With increased storms, unhatched sea turtle eggs may become exposed on the beach!. If you find these eggs on the beach, LEAVE THEM IN PLACE. Unfortunately, these eggs are no longer viable, however, do provide important nutrients for organisms that utilize local beaches.

In 2022, Loggerhead Marinelife Center's beach cleanups collected a total of 209,359 pieces of marine debris. With 6,650 volunteers at 151 cleanups, over 87% of all debris collected were plastic material. LMC hosts weekly beach cleanups every Saturday morning starting at 8:30am.

Meet Barbi, a nesting loggerhead sea turtle who is up for adoption! . The data that's collected from her satellite will be used in various projects that are being conducted by our Research Department here at LMC!

LMC’s research department documented our first two green sea turtle nests for the 2023 season in Tequesta this weekend!. As of today, we are at 117 leatherback nests, 1,318 loggerhead nests, and 2 green sea turtle nests.
