All credit to Poeltl for getting this deal. But this is what the #Pacers wanted to avoid. Bad contracts are so hard to move on from.
Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl has agreed on a four-year, $104 million contract extension with the franchise through 2029-30, sources tell ESPN. Poeltl will pick up his 2026-27 player option at $19.5M and add three additional years to his deal.

Look I get #Pacers fans emotions on this Myles Turner news. But just because you’re willing to go into the luxury tax, does not mean you just do it to do it no matter the price. Every player has a market value and by all indications Milwaukee overpaid. That’s free agency 🤷♂️.

Sports fans take for granted the toughness athletes have playing through injury or ailments. It’s just an assumption that “of course you go out and play, that’s what they do”. And after everything from Sunday, this Tyrese quote hits hard “I don’t regret it, I’d do it again” wow.

Fully understand the frustration. However, the way they are officiated isn’t a #Thunder issue. They’re a great team & likable. They just happened to beat the #Pacers last night. A hard thing to separate 24 hours after.
@MarkWMUN They’re a great team, both offensively and defensively. They’ve built a great roster, but the way they play to get calls instead of just playing the game is questionable. It might not be the best for the sport in my opinion.
