After careful thought and consideration, I’ve decided to curl standing up, instead of from my wheelchair. It’s going to take some patience and a lot of time to get up after that first slide, but with the Olympics around the corner, it seems like a good time to make the switch.

When Canadian Paralympians win medals in Paris they'll be financially rewarded for the first time in history. $20,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver, $10,000 for bronze. It's equal to the amount Canadian Olympians receive. My story from earlier this year:

Did you know that all our programs include a Wheelchair Curling component? This portion gives students the opportunity to try it out themselves, using Pusher Sticks from chairs just like wheelchair curlers, creating awareness & a truly inclusive program for kids of all abilities.
