overall my analysis was sound but it's funny that i tweeted this six weeks before Sinners came out.
beginning from the moment the La La Land team were told they hadn't won, 2 Best Picture winners have been A24 films with a Wong Kar-wai homage, and 2 have been Palme d'Or winners from Neon. Neon and A24 will both win Best Picture again before a movie developed by a legacy studio.

hate to say this but though the Union Sq Petco was *a* Tammany Hall it was built in the 1920s well after the club’s peak—its Gilded Age HQ, now demolished, was around the corner. HOWEVER during the early 2000s this building was a theater where i saw Ed Norton in BURN THIS.
