ya... i'm good with seeing this glove at 3b this year... Lets see if he can find a little more bat speed this off szn & add on to swing change in Tacoma to get the bat to a respectable level--- i believe he absolutely can

Considering the issues we had at 2b/RF in playoffs it really sucks Cole young & raley weren't options Easy to forget that raley was a top 30 bat by wRC+ in 2023 & 2024 Young had a 124 wRC+ from 6/7 - 8/15 .281 avg .369 OBP Their struggles were painful

Munoz Brash Williams Speier Bazardo Vargas Beeks Santos/Legumina/Hancock/Kowar/Taylor Lineup 1-7 is settled & 3b/2b group of young guys & hope some step up & if not? Trade deadline improvement Pen much deeper & 2nd LH option Andujar gives vet weapon off bench & LH masher

Kwan RF Cal C Julio CF Naylor 1b Polo DH Randy LF JP SS Williamson 3b Young 2b Ford, Andujar, Robles, Raley/Bliss/Rivas Tacoma: Emerson, Laz, Arroyo V LH: Andujar DH or 3b, Robles gives OF day off Woo/Kirby/Gilbert/Miller/castillo Depth: Evans, han, Anderson, cjntje 1/2
My opinion on what a successful/reasonable off szn looks like Sign: Naylor Polo Devin Williams/Robert Suarez Jalen beeks/Coloumbe/newcomb/etc. Andujar or Willi Castro Trade For: Kwan (canzone or raley + prospect or 2) Get key bats back + depth, pen depth & RF improvement

Emerson is obviously the upside possibility but will be just 20 but some of these premium prospects seem to be mlb ready quicker than in the past & his profile would seem to be one that can have early success So while I love Geno, I'm good w/ 3b being open for the young guys

How is everyone feeling about 3b being Ben Williamson or Colt Emerson to begin 26'? I love Geno but I'm excited about it Williamson defense is so good that if he's a league avg bat he's likely a 3-4 fWAR player - swing change in Tacoma makes that possible 1/2

Great in depth look at the state of the roster by @thejagepage As he mentioned, do wonder if Luke raley & carlos Vargas are trade candidates since out of options & some flex for that part of the roster is ideal
Good Evening. After a needed sabbatical, I return with a look at the questions facing the 2026 Mariners roster, while also looking back one final time on the end of 2025. https://t.co/ebAHuUHL8b (Photo Courtesy of Nick Wagner, Seattle Times)

If Williams is himself in 25' at just 1/10 it really transforms the pen Munoz/williams/brash/Speier an INSANE top 4 & if Bazardo wasn't a 1 hit wonder, that's an incredibly deep pen Wonder if he gets more but if not, big miss if we don't talk to his camp

If Devin Williams gets 1/10 the Mariners need to be all over it Rough results in NY but underlying stats were mostly ok (Statcast pic below) This was one of most dominant relievers from 22-24 (sub 2 era all 3 years) Seattle a great place to rebuild value as a pitcher 1/2

But that's a potential reasonable pivot if Naylor bidding surpasses where mariners will go O'hearn is 32 & Statcast looks solid Guessing he gets something like a Garver 2/24 deal? I want Naylor but at a certain point a reunion prohibits rest of roster building

4/90 quite a bit (still worth it but eats a ton of $$) If they get Naylor at that $$ it possibly leads to a Randy or Castillo deal Another option would be Ryan O'Hearn at something like 2/30 Been a slightly worse bat than Naylor but he's close (O'Hearn doesn't hit LH well)
Josh Naylor projected at 4 years and $90 million. If that's the case, that would eat up most of the #Mariners offseason budget.

Castro I like but wonder if he gets overpaid Rosario solid but not great glove So get me Andujar as a LH killer & late game bat that gives you a chance w/ ball in play As for OF - love refsnyder as LF platoon if Randy dealt & someone like yaz is signed

Some other options like dmo, dejong, Iglesias but IMO those are minor league deal options I love Leo rivas but a goal should be to upgrade that spot & bliss potential but has options Andujar my fav option even tho he doesn't offer Rivas versatility (young can slide to SS) 1/2
Andujar (3b/LF/1b): Low K bat that KILLS LH -- .389 avg & 172 wRC+ v LH in 25', .411 avg in 24' & .300 for career -- 101 wRC+ v RH in career so option there -- LH killer, not great defender but can play 3 spots & holds own v RH w/ super high contact ability 1/3

IKF (IF): similar to Rojas but likely less w/ bat. We saw in playoffs tho he puts ball in play & can make things happen Amed Rosario (IF): veteran W/ 120 wRC+ vs LH in career & good contact -- potential platoon option for JP/young up the middle
