An OL *and* an OL coach that knows what he’s doing. The OL coaching has been abysmal. Willing to bet an A-list OL coach could get this same roster to a much better place.

Whenever the @Raiders get things together, Jeanty and Bowers are going to be big problems.

Caleb Rogers, whether on the bench or in the game, is always one of the first guys to celebrate a TD. Great leadership/teammate. More than can be said for the only guy on offense with a C on his jersey.

I feel this in my bones….having seen this team play since the mid 70s, the “line up and kick some a£§” mindset needs to be restored. Pete is as much a cultural mismatch as he was coaching and timetable mismatch. Better days are ahead. More guys like JPJ and Maxx needed on OL/DL.

Here was the Rams starting OL last night vs Seattle: Left Tackle: UDFA Left Guard: 2nd round pick Center: UDFA Right Guard: 4th round pick Right Tackle: 5th round pick And Matthew Stafford wasn’t sacked once. You don’t need four first-round picks on the OL to protect the QB.

At the combine is there a way to test mental processing speed for QBs? Not in front of a whiteboard but rather an AI-based simulation to measure decision making speed? If the ball needs to be out in 2-3 seconds, that’s a lot to process to get to a good outcome.

OL was bad in pre season. It got worse with artificial nonsense about “compete”, playing guys out of position and waiting too long to play the young guys only to find they’re actually pretty good. That and losing will be Pete’s legacy as a Raider. Faithful to family, not the team

Other than a few players, I don’t think this team has the “bite your kneecaps off” kinda vibe like Dan Campbell’s Lions or several other teams. Thats a mirror of coaching IMO. Not saying AP was “the guy” but he did have the players in a different mental state. So did Rich B.

You’re closer to this than many but when guys are clocking out, that’s generally the final straw on a failed season and fired HC. Credit to AP, they played hard for him to the end. Not this crew. Players know it’s irreparably broken IMO. “Compete” is just an eye roll reaction now

My take on this is he’s a pro at artful answers and him being “beyond that” means he doesn’t coach with fear of getting fired because he has a track record (pre Raiders) to point to. It’s not that he doesn’t think he’ll be leaving the team because he surely will and he knows it.
