A brilliant evening. A pity that British media does not invite Dr Shlaim to speak on Palestine. An Arab Jew, a brilliant academic, such a clear and informative speaker. And with participation from the wonderful @FranceskAlbs we were very privileged. Standing ovations 👏👏.
Enormous support in West Belfast and across Ireland for the people of Palestine. 🇵🇸 . Massive audience at St Mary’s University College this evening to hear Dr Avi Shlaim speak about the Israeli genocide. Overflow room opened also to accommodate the huge numbers.

And I was incensed when taking grandsons on red tour bus of Belfast & passing Clifton House to hear the guide stating that ‘the workhouse’ made even young children work or else they would not eat! So wrong, appalling level of tourist guide spiel @VisitBelfast @MAMcCFoundation.
The Belfast Poor House provided an innovative education in the past, teaching children skills like French, navigation & music, alongside basic literacy & moral values. This approach aimed to prepare them for future careers and help them become capable, respectable citizens.
