Random wisdom: Always be aware that a 1-hour tutorial will not take you 1 hour. If your goal is to really understand the topic and not only copy what the tutor is typing, it is more likely to take 3-5 times the time. Want to take an 8-hour react course? Better plan a week for it.

Building your own software is like playing an RPG. 🎮
Every time you come back, you have to decide whether to advance the main quest (implement next milestone features) versus exploring already known territory and doing side quests like fixing existing bugs or refactoring code 🤔

How do you incorporate AI into your content creation? Whenever I try to enhance my posts with AI, I feel like a complete imposter unworthy of reach. Due to that, I have far fewer ideas and need longer in general, also resulting in less reach. Feels like a no-win-situation 🙁

When building your product, use a tech stack you are familiar with, not a popular one. There will be so many bumps on the road ahead. This way, you know at least your code base and how it works. Ultimately, people care about the product they see and rarely look behind the scenes.

Instead of filling up new spaces with unnecessary demo content, users now can decide what to start with, making it a much more personal experience.

I just released version 0.6 of Pensive.🙌 I realized through feedback that the ease of use was a problem, so I wanted to improve. As I struggled with where to put the website's CSS, I decided to go with Tailwind to have one thing less to worry about when creating new features.💪

Pro-tip for all the shower thinkers: There are special notebooks and pens able to write in the wet. Place a pair into your shower to write down everything that comes to mind while doing your thing and revisit what you've written occasionally. Seriously, why isn't this a thing? 😅

Amazon stopped cooperating with Landesbank Berlin (Amazon Prime Credit card), which now deactivated my Credit card, ultimately canceling my legal texts subscription service for Pensive. This morning began with moving everything over to another service that supports PayPal. 😮💨

The decision to offer something for free must be carefully considered.
For me, making my SaaS accessible for all is the best I could have done.
It lifts much weight from my shoulders, enabling me to act, build, and engage freely with my users.

Unpopular opinion:
Sending voice messages means you value your time more than the recipient's.
You save a lot of time by not typing your message, but whoever needs to listen to it requires more. Also, they can't hear it everywhere, like on public transport.
