BREAKING: The NLRB has ruled that if bosses commit unfair labor practices in the run-up to a union election then the election will be canceled and the Board will order the employer to immediately recognize and bargain with the union. Union-busting just got a lot harder.

The @NLRB was established to provide a much-needed support for worker rights against corporate political interests, and we’re glad to see it repaired after Trump and Robb’s undermining of its mission.

@Mapbox's actions reveal that @Mapbox, like other image-conscious corporations, discretely aligns with far-right politics when they serve its interest in hoarding money and power to silence critical voices.

In all seriousness, #Mapbox brands itself as a socially conscious, progressive organization. Employees donate time on projects combating racism, climate change, and other social inequities. Unfortunately, these actions paint a different picture.

Ironically, #Mapbox tried to defend their harsh severance agreements by claiming that Robb’s rulings should still stand since he had been “improperly” fired by President Biden. A real #NotMyPresident moment for Mapbox.

When @Mapbox illegally fired MWU organizers, they issued such severance agreements. The @NLRB has recognized as illegal and struck the relevant sections. You can see full releases from our NLRB case here:

Yesterday, the NLRB announced a ruling overturning Robb’s decision that allowed employers to write severance agreements forcing departing employees to choose between much-needed funds and their legal rights.
