It's true what they say. Never meet your heros. Your image of them can only ever be tarnished by the experience. Also, don't put people on a pedestal. Everyone is human. Everyone makes mistakes. Don't idolize people you don't know outside a passing aquaintance with their work.

Just watched Fantastic Four. Great movie. Better than Superman, which I also liked. It really does feel like a fresh new start to a new film franchise.

Watched Superman (2025) the other day. Loved it. Last night I tried rewatching the first Christopher Reeve's Superman; a movie I never really liked to begin with. It was even worse than I had remembered. I do NOT understand the admiration that people have for that steaming pile.

Comparing box office numbers to another movie made 10 years ago is one thing. Claiming that an above average opening weekend is "mid" is just objectively retarded.

I don't understand the contraversy. Did anybody even watch Man of Steel? It was clearly the story of an asylum seeking immigrant who gets deported by a fearful, xenophobic human populace & handed over to Zod. I remember taking note of the rather heavy-handed immigration allegory.
Its wild how hard people are trying to construct a political narrative around Superman. Maybe it really is just a movie and should be judged as such.
