Why do we have a deputy national security adviser who disagrees with MI5? Why do we have a deputy national security adviser who doesn’t think any of the events below constitute a threat to UK interests? Has the world gone mad? Tell us the truth!
Things that China did to the UK between 2021-23 1. Sanctioned 7 parliamentarians 2. APT31 cyber attack on 43 MPs 3. Hacked the Electoral Commission 4. Hacked a ministerial car 5. Imposed bounties on 🇭🇰 ers 6. Hacked British genomics I could go on. Not a security risk?

I’ve now asked the Government four times why China isn’t included in the enhanced tier of the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme alongside Russia and Iran. Each time the Government deflects, refusing to recognise the threat they pose. This Labour Government is soft on China.

Very grateful to Lord Fox for raising this. Contrary to what the Minister said on Monday, no conversations had taken place about the security implications of being named in the alleged 🇨🇳 spy reports. Also grateful to @RTHondavehanson for the reply and his assurances.

Wow. City chiefs sound alarm on data cables running under 🇨🇳 mega embassy site. NB: the 🇬🇧 still denies the presence of any such cables, despite them having been confirmed by at least six independent sources, including the BBC.
Senior figures in City of London have told @CityAM of their concerns regarding China’s plans for a new embassy on the edge of the Square Mile. “The cable issue is a concern and it does ring alarm bells that they’re pushing very hard for this particular site and you have to

Extraordinary line in this @CityAM piece where China STRONGLY implies that they have received (unlawful) assurances from the UK government regarding their mega embassy.

Beijing has accused the Labour government of “acting in bad faith and without integrity” — a charge dripping with hypocrisy from a regime that bullies, spies, and tramples the rule of law. China steals intellectual property, breaks WTO rules, props up state firms to crush Western

The CCP’s War On Faith-genocide of Uyghur Muslims, atrocities against Tibetan Buddhists and Falon Gong, imprisonment of Christians and desecration of churches, are all gross violations of Article 18 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Good to see @dsnorthnorth speaking
Concerning reports from China about the detention of the Zion House Church leaders. https://t.co/2uIXqQ7cuj Freedom of religion or belief is a fundamental human right. This is a worrying indication of further persecution of Christians in China.

If the Government knew the case was at risk, they had a duty to take action to ensure it made it to trial. It appears Starmer and Hermer chose not to act. The Prime Minister’s inaction amounts to an abdication of his most basic duty - defence of our nation. He did nothing then
