This is the gangrene on the Canadian wound. It's why you can't get health care. Why you can't afford a home. Why your children can't find work. Because you tolerate streets filled with terror supporters.

On this day in 1997, Marie-Louise Meilleur became the oldest living person in the world. Born in Quebec on Aug. 29, 1880, she quit smoking at the age of 102. At the age of 117, she was too weak to talk and could only hear if a person yelled in her right ear. She died in 1998.
