Just watched one of my fellow @BrownUPathoGP friends defend his brilliant thesis, & thinking how my cohort is out here killing the game. We have people going into patent law, vaccine development, microbiome research, consulting, a BME postdoc. So much you can do with a PhD πππΌπ€.

Amazing work by @Jenna_Wurster and highly worth a read. So proud of her perseverance and literal blood, sweat, and tears that went into this paper! Also, the graphical abstract is a masterpiece in its own right π€© #womeninSTEM #phdlife.

I've waited all week for the final speaker session at #moet2021 and oh boy is it worth it. "The 4D Nucleome": amazing talks, great questions, condensates and "clusters" with beautiful imaging and biochemical experiments. Best Friday afternoon leading into this long weekend π€©.

Louder for the people in the back. Iβm tired of hearing academics tell me that all that matters in grad school is your publication record. There are other measures and benchmarks for success, ESPECIALLY considering most grad students will not continue in academia. #phdchat.
You can publish all you want, academia's still probably not going to work out. Sorry to be a downer about the fun meme.
