Volunteers Needed!! We had an overwhelming weekend with so many donations dropped off at Mission Mart!! We are now looking for volunteers to help us get all those amazing donations sorted - volunteers can drop in anytime between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM daily at 265 Susie Lake Cres.

C.P. Allen High School will be collecting donations this week for families displaced due to the wildfires. On Sunday between 12 and 2 you can drop off gift cards, new cosmetics and toiletries, school supplies and chargers. Thank you for your support.

🧵The municipality has issued a pre-evacuation notice to residents on Viscount Run, starting at the intersection of Spyglass Run up to and including Cloverleaf and Summerwood lanes.

Due to the lifting of the Evacuation Order for the Farmers Dairy Lane area, the municipality has updated the map of the fire evacuation areas and the local state of emergency area. As a result, the Comfort Centre at LeBrun Recreation Centre has now closed.

With the shift in wind today and situation still out of control, a good idea to have an evacuation kit and plan wherever you live in Halifax this afternoon.
