TIER-Based CBB Preseason Draft Board for Prospects going into the 2026 NBA Draft. NCAA is king for scouting of course, but i felt a board format would be a healthy way to convey where my head is at before the college season kicks off. any questions are welcome; DMs open as well

something i wanna see from Bennett’s Iowa season
another *question* (not concern) outside of low BMI i have for Bennett Stirtz in his move to Iowa is his TRANSITION play. i care quite a bit about transition PM/scoring out of lead guards and Stirtz’ offense was purely in the half-court due being on the LOWEST PACE team in cbb.-

adding these here for those who wanna pull receipts on me
i am doing something that is a tad idiosyncratic to the rest of DraftTwt & may come off as a bit odd or potentially reprehensible. as i said in my post, my eval philosophies have changed since June. i embrace so, and as so, i want to expand my thinking via a revised big board🧵.

this graphic got that Three 6 Mafia cover art-type vibe to it man, super cool work
In March 2018 the greatest Memphis basketball player of all time was selected to be the next head coach of the Memphis Tigers. Here's my analysis on the collegiate coaching career of Penny Hardaway, a tenure defined by high expectations, inconsistency, and disappointment. ⬇️

what the hell is “playmaking” without being able to create your own shot?? what even is the value of Tyus Jones’ esteemed high Assist/Turnover ratio if he is quite literally unable to even penetrate a tilted defense
why does tyus jones even play over jase richardson i understand jase is just a rookie but i seriously see no reason for tyus to be given the keys on any roster in the NBA at this point in time

clips from @SpreadScouting also linking @100guaranteed’s article on the case for edey as he was rightfully the first on the whole “edey -> elite advantage creator” discourse https://t.co/rJ0q7w1OLy

oreb advantage creation: zach edey, purdue
term “advantage creation” has ultimately become a wholly meaningless buzzword as it’s been hurled around in discourse over time. i think we typically assign the label to equitable lead PGs w/o comprehending WHY. what IS fundamental advantage creation—what all CAN it extend to?

-what i want to see differently this year: 1) hope for something like an 17+ transition playtype frequency out of bennett this year. a major jump but this would be comparable to guys like jase richardson (~18%) or dylan harper (~22%). 2) stay low turnover to a degree similar 👍

-underwhelming is its translation to big 10 play, as a system that relies on so many HC resets out of broken possessions will inherently warrant a LOW turnover playstyle. which having 4 turnovers this game showed that—as that is very “unStirtz-like.” -

-means a couple things. 1) it is insanely outlier impressive that he retained that level of scoring efficiency while large majority of his looks out of self-created stagnant offenses in mediocre spacing. 2) i do worry that the outlier turnover aversion could be a tad bit-
