I remember the #PollTax in #Texas. Created in 1903 to disenfranchise #Black voters and anyone in poverty. Repealed in 1966.

#SaveActTaxesVoters The 24th Amendment, passed in 1964, prevents the use of a poll tax to prevent voting. The SAVE Act in all its various forms will require proof of citizenship for voter registration, and acquiring a birth certificate or passport for this costs $.
