If you see this "poor soul" walking around a football camp, please don't let him annoy you. He is harmless, and still "livin the dream." Helping young people get better is still enjoyable. Life is good.

My last OSU Camp this summer. Considered support staff, but Tim Hinton - Camp Director- is such a valuable part of the OSU football program. We have been friends for many years. Guess, since his Marion Harding days. Excellent motivator. He really bleeds scarlet and gray.

Two of my favorite high school head football coaches. Mo Douglas (L) and Ted Ginn (R). Coach Ginn for about 25 years. For me, their strength is helping young African American players get better. Very good coaches, but even better promoting their players. Really appreciate them.

Want to wish all Ohio high school players the best of health for coming season. Represent your team in character, effort, classroom, and toughness. You are playing the greatest level of football. Not NFL or NCAA. Compete. Be the best example of you.

Because of COVID-19, college football camps are so important this June. Enjoy, but treat them like you are interviewing for a job. Be early. Be in front of the line. Best effort in every drill. Finish. Great effort. It is okay to show emotion. No excuses. Make sure to listen.

I have worked with Coach Tressel for 30 years and never once asked to do a picture. I don't see him that often now, so I asked at the YSU football game. He still gets the attention from fans and rightly so. Jim Tressel is first class all of the way. I appreciate him.

Tavien St Clair 2025 -O-state commit won a QB award in Las Vegas. Most Accurate. Nice , but for all young QB's Tavien trained in a tough strength program 10th grade year. Also, he did not spend money on the QB guru. His high school QB coach is good. Develop core muscles.

With the NCAA's latest attempt to get things right, colleges will be announcing prospect camp dates soon. Take a business approach. Chose camps that are reality ones and not dream ones. Choose camps where schools have shown a positive interest in you. Not the time to wish.

We laughed at a memory. RFr Demeatric Crenshaw and I go back to his 10th grade at Pick Central. Every year, be a QB, regardless of the level. Now at 6'1-220, he leads YSU. He has the "it" factor. Passing has improved. Redefined his body. He finds ways "to win."

Watched QB Tavien St Clair (2025) throw for 45 minutes today. Makes all the throws. Always sets his feet. Cannon arm. Strong core. Guessin 6'3+ 212. Amazing improvement over last fall. All QB's are a little different. Top QB in 2025 Class. An MSR top 5 recruit in Class.

Was impressed with this Brayden Boeing , a 2026 TE from Elder HS. Has waited his turn, and watching him at Toledo camp, his future is bright. Guessin 6'4-215. Good hands. Runs well. Athletic. Competes. Definitely one to watch in 2026 Class. @BraydenBoeing @SWOFCAfootball

QB Brennen Ward ('25) Gahanna Lincoln blew me away last year. Even better this year, and 1 more. Throw long(vert). Velocity over middle. Escape pocket pass. Makes clutch pass. Sees the field. Like his quiet leader. Good throwing motion. Sets feet. High ceiling. MSR a top 2025 QB.

I knew about DB Karson Hobbs (2024) but he impressed against Massillon. 6'1-180 CB. Burst/quicks more than fast/fast. Backpedals. Good recovery speed. Can press or sit in zone. Now more of shutdown. Excellent KO ret guy. Like his DB presence. Like him.

The Ohio Classes of 2025 and 2026 are potentially really good. Don't get caught up in the "star system" or social media or "non committable offers." The choice is SIMPLE - "Put in the work."

Excited to meet and evaluate Berea Midpark's Andrew Hanchuk(2024) at the Cleveland Browns Showcase. 6'5-230. Had him just under 4.5/proshuttle. Excellent getoff. Great attitude. An MSR top DE in 2024 Class. Watched his HUDL Hi-Lites. Maybe an OL guy, but not now.

Enjoyed talking with TE/DE Vince Giordano Ohio '25 Class. Impressed with attitude. Passes the eyeball test. I rate him as one of the top OL in Class. For now DE/TE. On video, athletic/physical. An MSR high prospect.

Last game of the year. An old guy still has that toughness or stupidity.

Why would any underclassmen pay 195 dollars for a one day camp? NO D1 college coaches to evaluate you. Average instruction. Who evaluates you. OH well.

Jackson Wiley. Plays DB also, but like him as WR. Good initial quickness. Runs well after catch. Will block. Excellent eye-hand. Adjust body to ball. High point catch. Catch with yards. Like WR presence. 5'11. Excellent catch radius. MSR top WR in 2025 Class. Special in 2 years

Ohio does not need spring football. Excellent move by the OHSAA. No sense listing reasons, because I will not debate.

I attend College Recruiting nights, most recently, Cleveland's last night. Super attendance! I get recruiting services (few are good), but to drop $1,000 +. High school coaches are working hard. In reality, most prospects are D2/D3. With the transfer portal, D1 offers are tough.

Watching Glenville HS, saw my old friend, Richard McNutt, now coaching with Eddie George at Tennessee State. Talked ball. Talked Ohio prospects. But, most importantly, talked about his son, a DB at Shaker Heights. For me - 1 of the top 4 DB's in Ohio 2025 Class. Class act.

Diore Hubbard Gahanna Lincoln first impressed me last spring. More impressed against Pick Central. Natural hips. Quick feet. Power between the tackles. Runs with anger. Balanced. Some burst. Flat out fast. Needs to get bigger, but so physical. An MSR top RB in 2024 Class.

Excited about attending the First Annual AAFCA Coaches Clinic this Friday. Of course, I don't take notes like in the old days, but I enjoy talking with coaches. For high school coaches, it is all about getting better. Improve your knowledge and your networking. My first in awhile
