Super excited to share the fantastic resource that is our Human Breast Cell Atlas! How do age, parity and BRCA1/2 mutations affect homeostasis in the normal breast? Take a look at the thread below for a sneak peak of what we’ve found by sequencing more that 800,000 single cells!
I am very pleased to share our second and largest contribution to “The Human Breast Cell Atlas” (HBCA) project. Buckle up a longish thread ahead! https://t.co/hEmnIJKNsr

I now move on to a new role @AstraZeneca as one of the very first R&D postdoctoral challenge winners, where I now get to work on my own project proposal for the next 3 years. Best of luck to everyone at @WTKlab and watch this space for a cool paper coming from us soon.

What a 5 years it’s been at @WTKlab. This was my first postdoc and during my time here I got married, had a child, COVID happened, and I met too many wonderful people to count. I will always remember this as a very special place and time, but it’s now time to continue my journey.

2/3 But there is still a need to continually improve what we can offer to patients, especially in terms of better, more effective therapies and earlier detection, so that we can get to these tumours while they’re still manageable.

1/3 Fantastic news from @NHSEngland today about offering Pembrolizumb to triple negative breast cancer patients. This drug stops cancers hiding away from the immune system and will be potentially life saving for these patients.
