I went to Catholic school for 13 years. How is it possible I've never heard this prayer before? "... seeking the ruin of souls." I would definitely remember this line.

He immediately composed the famous St. Michael Prayer.
Here is what he saw:

that's the unfortunate truth, many prelates diminished the prayer's importance after V2. I'm sorry you were a victim of Catholic school modernists.

You don’t have any police officers in your family? All my Irish Catholic great uncles, and my dad carried the St Michael prayer card everyday of his life. They see such evil everyday. He’s the patron Saint of police officers.

That’s a really good question. I learned it as a child at nightly rosary. It’s said at Mass almost always. Did you go to Mass in school?

For a piece about why a place is great for raising a family, it began on a negative tone. Notre Dame is an amazing place that the wider world does not know about because those who have Catholic platforms often magnify scandal and publicize complaints instead spreading the good.

I went to catechism in the 60’s & 70’s-kumbaya catechism.
I told a priest how I felt cheated. I wish i had the Baltimore Catechism & learned about saints & great Popes
I also told him: “Teach THE catechism & the social justice will follow! Youre shooting too low!”

It's typically prayed after the Rosary, if your school was like most Catholic schools, they never said the Rosary and that would explain never hearing the prayer. This is the main reason why my kids no longer attend Catholic school.
