Pondering this because I do wish people understood that. Going from Trespasser to DAV writing is going to give you whiplash. These criticisms can also exist while acknowledging the poor dev treatment and how EA was actively sabotaging and sanitising Veilguard’s production.

I don’t think Veilguard was bad on its own, but I think it was a bit too far removed from the identity of the Dragon Age series and that’s why it disappointed a lot of people. I don’t like the shift in writing, I don’t like the change in combat, but it wasn’t a bad game.
