Today was the FTC’s Workshop, “The Dangers of ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ for Minors.” These are extremely important issues and I was happy to work with Chairman Ferguson @AFergusonFTC and Commissioner Meador @MeadorFTC on this Workshop. Here are my remarks:

Last week, I represented the U.S. at the G7 Privacy Roundtable. Canada was a gracious host and we had productive discussions regarding children’s privacy, collaboration on shared enforcement priorities, and privacy issues relating to quantum computing and AI.

The FTC’s Robinson-Patman complaint against Pepsi was a colossal mistake. Today, we have dismissed the complaint, allowing our dedicated staff to focus on legitimate enforcement actions that protect consumers.

Beautiful day at the White House with @AFergusonFTC and @MeadorFTC for the signing of the TAKE IT DOWN Act. Thank you to @FLOTUS for championing this important legislation to protect Americans from revenge porn and other illicit images. @FTC is committed to enforcing it.

I had the honor of a lifetime last week when I delivered the convocation speech at my alma mater—the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. Congrats to the class of 2025!

This type of conduct, if true, is extremely alarming. The FTC wants to hear from tech platform users who have been banned, shadow banned, demonetized, or otherwise censored.

It was an honor to give the opening keynote at @the_IAPP Global Privacy Summit. I shared my priorities for @FTC privacy enforcement, and how the agency can better promote innovation and competition.

I was honored to present this morning with E.U. Ambassador to the U.S. Jovita Neliupšienė at the World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) board meeting where I discussed E.U.-U.S. cooperation in fulfilling the FTC’s mission of promoting competition and protecting consumers.

Congrats to @mrmeador on his confirmation! Excited for him to join the Commission!.

2. I am glad to see the FTC will continue its work on the PBM matter under @AFergusonFTC. My statement:

1. I was proud to lead the fight for the State of Utah against PBMs and drug manufacturers over inflated insulin drug prices. Unfortunately, due to federal ethics rules, I am recused from the FTC’s PBM litigation because of my role in the Utah litigation.

I joined @competitionlaws (Concurrences) last night to celebrate another year of innovative antitrust scholarship. Our ability to protect competition and create an environment where innovation thrives depends on ongoing thought leadership. Keep up the great work!

Delighted to present at another GMU Law & Econ event. Professor James Cooper and I discussed privacy enforcement, the importance of economic analysis, and the proper use of the FTC’s unfairness authority.

It was a pleasure to present at the CPG Legal Forum and share my views about the FTC’s Green Guides, environmental marketing claims, and AI-generated advertising.

I had a lively discussion with Judge Ginsburg about FTC antitrust enforcement and priorities at the Scalia Law Annual Antitrust Symposium. We discussed the FTC’s work to combat Big Tech’s unlawful censorship. We also explored ways to promote competition and innovation in the AI

Big tech censorship is one of the most consequential issues facing our nation. This RFI is a crucial first step to protect Americans and restore free speech. I look forward to hearing the public’s comments.
