Cycling through Belgium and the Netherlands with the family this week. Brussels airport has a bike service center just outside arrivals for tourists to build their bikes. Such a great welcome! They took our bike boxes to reuse for departing cyclists. Next stop: Antwerp 🇧🇪 🚲

Had I not looked this driver directly in the eye and pointed out the traffic island, whilst moving to a more primary position, I genuinely think they would have continued to try and squeeze their massive vehicle through here. It's as if these islands come by surprise to some. Gah

Today it happened for the first time… A wasp flew into my helmet and stung me on the head a load of times. Thought that type of thing was folklore. Litltle yellow and black bastard - must admit that there was a little squeal… 🐝

3 days up in the Brecon Beacons and not a single bit of road. Magic. It was our first bikepacking trip without the trailer and the youngest nailed it. We were worried he’d not make it up some of the climbs but saddle winch worked a dream. What a place. Magic.

This is the road in the original post, for reference. Seems she hit the tree on the right, and came to a stop on the opposite side of the road. Clear double white lines, brow of a hill and a corner. Why would anyone try and overtake here?!

@metpoliceuk - As the driver ppears to have confessed to dangerous driving, I'm assuming you're going to be proceeding with action on this one?

From @RichmondPkCycle on instagram. It’s as if the double white lines down this hill have no meaning. Very lucky that no third party was hurt and I worry about this type of driver every time i go up there. So grateful that @theroyalparks are cracking down on cyclists… 🙈

@s70gad I enjoy going for a mess about on my bike along with my son at weekends. But it will never replace using my car. The cycling cult members such as @Bikery1966 @MGIFOTB, that cunt with his fuck buddy the deaf cat, Vine and Cyclingmikey have destroyed the cycling industry.

(in before anyone says I was holding them up - was travelling at >27mph on this 30mph road, and I sat behind the second driver for a good 90 seconds at the traffic lights 400m up the road 🤷♂️). Will be sending both in, hopefully they learn some patience.

I often wonder if anything at all goes through people's heads when they get behind the wheel. Can they not see the road ahead? Do they not understand road furniture or road markings or other road users? Does my head in having to avoid their bad, impatient decisions every day.

I often wonder what these double white lines are for 🤔 Brow of a hill, around a corner, and I'm travelliing over double the 12mph threshold for an overtake to be considered. Close one.

Ten internet points to the first person who can tell me why you are not supposed to overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users – such as when approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road... 🙈
