If I ever had a time machine, I'd go back to attend a 90s/early 2000s CART race at a superspeedway. Must have been one hell of an experience.
Came across this fan footage of Paul Tracy’s qualifying record at Michigan in 2000. This was a 234.9 mph average but he also did a 239 mph lap in practice, claiming he saw 249 on the straights.
