A steady warmup begins today, with highs eventually reaching the 50s to low 60s during the middle to late part of the week. Allegheny rain showers possible on Tuesday, then Tuesday then the next chance for widespread showers will be come late in the week.

Could see a few flurries/sprinkles this afternoon to evening, but most will remain dry. Otherwise, cool and dry through Monday. Cloudy skies are forecast for today, with sunnier skies expected on Sunday.

Mainly dry and cool conditions are expected heading into the upcoming weekend. The only chance for precipitation will come on Saturday as an area of low pressure passes to our south. However, most locations should stay dry.

Cooler and drier conditions are expected today with wind chills in teens and lower 20s. Some roads may remain icy this morning especially in areas along the Allegheny front. Please use extra caution if driving on snow and ice covered roads.

Midnight forecast: Dry conditions are expected across the bulk of the forecast area, with snow expected in the Alleghenies. Winds will be out of the south at around 5 mph, making it feel a few degrees cooler than the forecast air temperatures shown below.

Mountain snow showers continue this morning with a few flurries east of I-95. An area of low pressure & front will bring more snow to the mountains late tonight-Thursday AM. Elsewhere cold & breezy conditions are expected with a few flurries as we turn the calendar to 2026.

More strong winds and cold conditions are expected this morning along with mountain snow.

Cold & blustery conditions will continue through the night. Temps drop to the 20s, with winds gusting upwards of 30-40 mph. Wind chills in the single digits, with below zero values in the Alleghenies. Be sure to bundle up if headed outdoors tonight & Tuesday morning.

With the cold front now pushing east of I-95, a gusty west wind has begun to overspread the area. A number of wind gusts have begun to push into the 45-55 mph range. Temps will continue to cool in the wake with upslope snow showers along the Alleghenies. #MDwx #DCwx #VAwx #WVwx
