Over 30 guests enjoyed their fix of cricket on what should have been Day5 of Perth Test. John Traicos who played for both SA in 1969/70 in their great winning side v Aus, then again, in 1992 for Zim in India. Richards, Bacher Pollock (x2) Lance Barlow Lindsay were all in the XI

Season’s Reflections: Evening Cricket https://t.co/WfTCFWgPrw Possibly the best evening cricket league in the UK is the @CheshireCCL O40s competition. Many participants have gone on to play county O50s. Its a mystery why every league in the country doesn’t adopt a similar format.

Sparing a thought for cricketers as they were. Peter Willey made his England Test debut the end of the summer of 1976 but a month later had to sign on for unemployment benefit. County contracts were for the season only, so no work in the winter meant no money

Tremendous fun & a great way to keep ‘senior’ cricketers involved in the game. The Southport Walking Cricket group meets weekly on Thursday mornings & is always on the lookout for new players.

Congratulations to former @MDCAssn club @DidsburyCC, who have not only retained their CCCL Premiership title, but also retained the Cheshire Cup last weekend, beating Lindow CC by just 6 runs. And not only that, but the 2nd XI have retained their Prem title too! #WellDone 👏👏👏

The PCA England Masters are @MontonCC again (their 8th visit in 11 years!), with Alex Tudor, Matthew Hoggard, Samit Patel & Jonathan Trott amongst the visiting players. The game starts at 4.00 pm., but there is plenty else going on throughout the day. Come on down & join the fun.
