Miles Davis composed the Elevator to the Gallows (1958) score in a single session while watching the film. After noting a rough cut, he gathered 4 musicians without rehearsal & recorded it in one take, creating a landmark in improvised film scoring.

I've been working on a new series bible to pitch the Chronicles of Prydain, and I know exactly why they won't do it. It needs at least 6 episodes and more characters to build emotional investment. You game to work this with me @FabianNicieza?
@KurtBusiek Before the days of streaming platforms, we spent a year breaking down the 5 books into a Prydain film trilogy for Disney. Lot of development with vested Disney internal stakeholders, it just never panned out, but the story breakdown worked well across 3 films.
