MALC sent a formal letter to the Texas Comptroller outlining constitutional and economic concerns regarding his decision to roll back core provisions of the bipartisan HUB program. Women-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned businesses deserve clarity and fairness. #txlege

The 14th Amendment is clear. If you are born in this country, you are a citizen of this country. A SCOTUS review of Trump’s order puts that right at risk for millions of Latinos & immigrants. We cannot allow a second-class status for Texas families.

The SCOTUS decision is one of the most alarming setbacks to voting rights in a generation. A federal court, including a judge appointed by President Trump, found intentional discrimination in this map, yet the ruling allows that discrimination to shape the 2026 elections.

Yesterday, the Texas Comptroller dismantled core provisions in the state’s HUB program — a bipartisan law that expanded opportunity for women-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. He does not have the authority to rewrite state law. Texans deserve better. #txlege

Huge news out of Texas today! A federal court just blocked Trump’s mid-decade map that targeted Black and Latino Texans. The court made it clear: you cannot intentionally discriminate against our communities. Not in Texas and not anywhere. A major win for fair representation.
