Started removal of poplar trees that are far too close to our playing surfaces, these 2 next to the 4th green were 1st on list before the winds come through this week. They were far past their sell by date.

2 days apart, new dyke (canal) working well. This would of taken a week to clear prior to installing the new Dyke. Bit of a rough ride ahead with the forecast poor next few days, water moving 100% more effectively off the course.

After last week's near miss with the old Poplars. Decide to remove the 11 most at risk on holes 6 &17. As the pictures show a lot of rot in these trees. Great job removing felling and removing all the wood off the course in 2 days.

Good work by the team this week, managed to get a cut into the place, started rough today hoping to finish next week. Stands us in good stead moving into spring. Drainage renovation work commencing next week on the 11th fairway. Not bad for the end of January ð

Old leaning willow removed from the 1st pond, was becoming dangerous and believe it or not slowing water flow with limbs rooting in the pond. Tidying the area up nicely.

Clearing the island in the 1st pond this week in preparation for digging and removing it to create better storage and improve water flow, the pond will also be made larger when work commences.

Productive day renovating existing drains on the 11th fairway. Over the years rootzone on the drains has become contaminated with clay, trenched the contaminated material out today, backfilling with fresh gravel tomorrow using materials left over from projects on 10 and 5.

Another productive few days, chasing old pipe work out from the 4th drainage pond is on hold, unfortunately the pipe work doesn't go the way it should ðĪĢð
ðĪŠ! bit of rethinking to be done on this project. Started extending 2nd dyke and digging new holding pond on the 2nd/3rd.
