Our study on T-ALL heterogeneity is out! We show ~1/3 of T-ALLs express inflammatory/stem signatures and are sensitive to venetoclax. Huge congrats to @gowerfulScience for leading the way, @s_jahangiri, and the entire team! .

Mechanistically, Nek10 associates with the Axin complex and phosphorylates β-catenin at Tyr30, located proximal to the regulatory sites responsible for control of its turnover, facilitating their further phosphorylation by GSK3.

Our work reveals a previously unrecognized function for Nek10 as a β-catenin tyrosine kinase. β-catenin is a bifunctional oncoprotein influencing cell fate decisions and cell adhesion properties, with broad impact on variety of human cancers.
