Last year @Herd_MBB conceded switches on all ball screens and that resulted in a 106.9 DEF RTG (192nd in CBB) and an opp EFG% of 51.4% (236th) according to Kenpom. New coach, Corny Jackson, let it be known that he wants to apply more pressure. Let's check the film to see how:

Kinsey will attend training camp with GSW. I believe this is an Exhibit 10 deal which means if he fails to make the Warriors roster, but sticks with their G-League team for 60 days he will get a $85k bonus on top of his $40k G-League salary. He can also be converted to a 2-way.
The Golden State Warriors and Taevion Kinsey have agreed to a deal, league sources told @hoopshype. Kinsey was on a 10-day and two-way contract with the Utah Jazz in 2024. He was recently selected for the NBA G League United Team in the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup in September

Landen Joseph out of Northeast High School (Sunrise, FL) is a late addition to Corny’s 2025 recruiting class. Super athletic combo guard. Very young and raw, but skillful and plays at a nice pace. Exciting young player.

Hugie had other offers from Tennessee Tech, Missouri State, SFA, Southern Miss, and North Dakota State. He was committed to Missouri State for 3 days in April before backing out of that pledge and pursuing other opportunities.

Shamarrie Hugie is a 6'6 wing that will add size and athleticism to the wing rotation. 14.1 points (47.5% fg & 33% from 3), 5.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assist per game for Cowley College this past season. I believe he will have 2 years of eligibility. Nice pickup before classes start!
