"I'll venture a prophecy: the growth of the Church will accelerate. When [people] find the gospel of Jesus Christ, presented by missionaries, they see hope." - Pres. Henry B Eyring on today's interview with Jane Clayson

When the Nazis are marching across Europe and Japan is bombing US territories it's a good time to ally with the Soviets. BUT once that threat is under control, it's time to face off with the Soviets. We're in the second phase

The Right doesn't stick together. That's our biggest problem by far. Conservatives are quick to denounce each other, jump on dogpiles, disavow, attack their allies. I said a few weeks ago that we all need to band together in the wake of Charlie's death and the answer I got back

Latter-day Saints think there is good evidence for the resurrection of Christ. The problem occurs when Christians hold the Book of Mormon witnesses to a higher standard than the resurrection witnesses.

Mormons who attack the eyewitness testimony strength of the resurrection of Christ in order to make the golden plates witnesses seem stronger are just like Roman Catholics who attack the reliability of scripture in order to make the need for their infallible magisterium stronger.

Modern scholars widely agree that the doctrine of creation ex-nihilo (that every creedal Christian believes) originated in the second century from a gnostic philosopher named Basilides. Oh wait, that's a fact, not an opinion.

As a former Mormon, I'm highly skeptical of anyone, even respected Christian authors and preachers, that write books claiming, "Christianity has done X wrong all along, and I'm here to set the story straight!" It's why I really have had little interest in reading Michael

I had a 3 HOUR conversation with an Eastern Orthodox guy on "Are Mormons Christian" and about a dozen other topics. I think you'll like it! (Don't worry we hardly talked about Galatians 1:8, it wasn't that kind of convo) https://t.co/pKQ3gM2vRR

Great work everyone, my community note on Wikipedia guy's post was rated helpful and is now visible! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ We should do this more. But only on things that are truly factually inaccurate. "Mormons aren't Christians" doesn't count.

Unpopular opinion: anti-discrimination employment laws are incompatible with free-speech principles. You should be free to chose who to hire at your own company. full-stop. And I'm no libertarian.

Iโ€™ve been interviewing people at my company for a couple roles that would work on my team. Yesterday, I greeted one of the candidates as he waited in the lobby, then as we were walking to a conference room I ask โ€œso, are you married? Kids?โ€ He immediately replies โ€œyou canโ€™t ask

Since president Oaks hinted at temple announcements outside of conference: I'd love a yearly temple broadcast where the first presidency and general authorities review temple progress, discuss the importance of the temple, and then announce new temples. Maybe they could do it

Even if you specify it needs to be Smith's first *recorded* prophecy, that would fall to the prophecy in the Book of Mormon that three witnesses would be shown the book by the power of God and testify of it. That was also fulfilled

Wait till he finds out Joseph Smith's first prophecy was "that [his] name should be had for good and evil among all nations, kindreds, and tongues." Bro accidentally helped fulfill Smith's prophecies in his attempt to debunk them...

Considering that Smith failed the test as a Prophet with his very first prophecy, you really don't want to start this... especially considering the prophecy

Mormons, like liberals, atheists, Catholics, Hindus, Muslims, and Eastern Orthodox, are not Christians because they deny the three basic truths of Christianity: 1. Only Scripture Can Speak for God 2. Only Christ Can Intercede for God 3. Only Faith Can Please God

It's fascinating seeing how, despite years of interacting with "Mormonism", so many people like Mark don't know the most basic teachings of the Latter-day Saints. He thinks when we say that we are Christians we are trying to say we are the same as historical Christianity. Or

A sneak peek from the ebook RealFaith just released on Mormonism. When faced with the historical sources of their own faith, the conversation quickly changes from "we're Christians too" to "we're the real Christians." That's where the evangelism can begin. We love and pray for
