Silksong's price controversy is just madness. On one side, players will anchor their decisions on a AA game (market as indie) price of $20. On the other side, devs are scared this will become the new normal. Games are not commodities. You can charge whatever you want.

I might have finally found a really good heavy-lift use for AI. I love old books, and a lot of 'em are in the public domain... but Project Gutenberg's formatting is... less than good. I've managed to convince ChatGPT to fix the formatting, and that's kinda nice.

Inheritance tax isn’t “theft” from those who have built a “successful life and legacy”. It is a tax on those receiving a windfall of unearned wealth. It’s not “immoral” unless you think people’s life chances should be determined not by what they do — but who their parents are.

I attended a "Marketing for Indie Games" workshop yesterday, and we explored the topic of launching campaigns. I was impressed with how "mystified" marketing still is for indies. People had no idea what a launch campaign really is (a communication milestone).

Playing with procedural animation in Godot Engine. One of the core principles of animation is to make movements in arcs, and playing with Inverse Kinematics and Path2Ds allows you to do just that. Btw you can change the Path2D's curve in real time using animations
