Hiyas, I'm Typerighter. Everyone's friend.
I RP often on Ally-MG (sometimes WRA-Horde) and play WoW like it's my job; Feel free to say hi if you see me or my millions of OCs running around in-game!
Transphobes & Bigots get bent.
I cannot stress how the amount of little townships and villages here make me happy.
Jade Forest is just a PART of why MoP feels like WoW's worldbuilding at it's best, without making every inch of the zone an excuse to murder people.
I miss this. So, so much.
The reason Dragonflight sold less than Shadowlands is because Shadowlands was catastrophically bad for the company and brand, and Blizzard had let down millions of people thanks to the lawsuit alone.
To pretend it's just a Dragonflight issue is surreal to me.
No Place Like Home is the new Human racial replacing Diplomacy, granting a reduced cooldown and a second charge on your Hearthstone!

If I stopped playing WoW because of ethical issues with Blizzard, I'd have to do the same for every other title around, and stick to only indie games.
Understand that Blizzard isn't the only company with these issues. They're just the one that got caught.
Everything about the intro to the Gilneas Starting Zone is absolutely WoW's writing at it's peak.
It's insane that it's arguably, the best writing in all of Cata. And absolutely the best starter zone, no questions asked.
Give their city back, Blizzard.
So I'm basically learning Old Darkshore was superior in every way.
Auberdine feels like a real town, more so than most others. It's spacious, alien, and grand. I feel bad I wasn't able to experience this.
I really don't think the shock value was worth it. It's disappointing.
Shockingly, making fun of a creator and his harmless video on a weekly basis just because you find it cringe has consequences.
Awesome that bullying is bad until the internet thinks something is "cringe" so its totally okay
If this is what it takes to be a content creator online, I don't think I'm cut out for it
read:
TL;DR, I’m going to finish up my current ongoing projects, and then I’m going to be taking an indefinite break from making content
Removing the Light from Anduin as a consequence of Shadowlands is good, I think.
It makes me like him more. It seems to really bother him. All that advice from Velen, the guidance from the Light and the virtues just mean nothing, now.
oh man Asmongold saying slavery is a 'pretend problem' is just about my last straw lol
yeah if I see anyone defending them mutual or no I'll just block you thanks
Hate to be that guy, but it's taken this long for me to see what people were talking about.
The graphical upgrade is obvious but even so, the old model has an ancient presence.
Shiny and new is not always better. The grandeur, the essence has been lost. A shame.
Turaylon, in Silvermoon, chatting up his son...who is in the Silver Hand...
Turaylon, the King Regent of Stormwind, in Silvermoon, chatting up his Son, in the Silver Hand, an organization he had kicked -all- Horde-aligned Knights from...
This is weird. Prayers to the Horde, man
As someone who is educated about causes that affect real people, there is nothing more infuriating than someone saying that the ethical issues regarding Slavery, AI, and Copyright Infringement aren't real problems, when talking about fucking Palworld.
Can we talk about how Wrathion basically ensured Ebbyssian wouldn't ever struggle with corruption during BFA and he never got credit for it.
Or how he saved the adventurers in the Black Empire from certain death.
Or got us the sanity preserving cloak.
wild how MoP has the strongest faction conflict story of any expansion besides BFA but it's also the best story they've ever written and people still think the faction conflict holds Warcraft back
curious
I'm not worried about this because frankly, Velen was willing to forgive Kil'Jaeden at the end of it all. He had no venom, no hatred, nothing for the guy who had spent eons attempting to kill the rest of his uncorrupted people.
Why not accept the directionless Man'ari?
Seeing Gilneas City almost entirely empty on an RP server is almost sad
A lot of people were gunning to use these spaces but as I thought way back then, it's a lot easier and a lot more incentivized to use Stormwidn as an RP hub.
Deep irony in Tyrande and Malfurion being absent but Sylvanas coming from beyond the grave to be present in the heritage quest.
That's so funny. That's the issue, right fucking there.
like I'm sorry this is peak
it's a colorful hellish wasteland, the closest thing to hell I think the setting has, just fucking awful shit. it's peak. stepping in here lets you know Azeroth, for all it's horrors, is nothing compared to this callous world birthed of nihilism
Bought TWW.
I am probably never using this boost. I do not enjoy the tonal whiplash of skipping a ton of content and immediately having a level 70 character.
Fyrakk > Razageth far as threats go. Feels like the gap between her and Fyrakk is genuinely villain worthy.
Wrathion intervened as Raza was going to finish off Alexstraza. I feel like if he did that w/Fyrakk...well, the choice for Aspect would be easier, lol.
@GamingAndPandas
I love how everyone goes "BG3 is the new standard of 'good' games" when the entire games "success" is centered around nothing but the devs weird fetishes.
WoW RPers theorized that black people were not very common in the Eastern Kingdoms because they for some reason would hail from the Stranglethorn Vale, or Tanaris.
Tanaris. On fucking Kalimdor, mind you.
Valeborn is a stupid, dumbfuck term and you should never use it.
Larian Studios were expecting 100k concurrent players max for the launch of Baldur's Gate III
Instead today they hit 700,000+ and became the 9th Highest Peak Ever for a game in Steam History
Notice how every defender we find in Honor Hold Keep is a graybeard. When Turaylon, Alleria, Danath and Khadgar leapt into the portal, they did not go alone. They brought fresh faced recruits and veterans alike. Old or new, they all look the same now.
Imagine getting on an MMORPG with decades of content and lore and shit to gain and create, and only wanting to run dungeons.
I'm sorry, but that shit sounds boring and it's precisely why I put everything top tier players say in the garbage.
Wrathion sent the Rogue Adventurer to kill a bunch of Black Dragons who were hiding as nobles inside of human kingdoms and people are pretending as if he murdered babies in their eggs.
No, they were just like Onyxia and Nefarian.
Can we stop Teldrassil | Sylvanas discorse? It's 2022. SL and BFA are done. I'm fucking tired of people defending her, or talking about the tree, I just wanna move on. Let's talk about dragons. I think dragons are hot.
I want to fuck a dragon.
So that's two 'Alliance' neutral cities in two straight patches, two occurrences where the Horde - Forsaken specifically - are attempting to make amends.
Do Horde players enjoy this? I have to ask if any of you are excited to roam Bel'ameth and Gilneas as I don't play Horde.
PSA these videos are AI Generated wikiprdia tier lore guides, even the thumbnails. Let's maybe not praise someone for running text to speech and using AI Art.
Wrathion not being Aspect isn't an L.
Wrathion's story this patch largely mischaracterizing him in the perspective of the other characters, pretending he's done nothing but be a petulant child, and making fun of him the entire time is an L.
There are a million pictures of generic WoW Paladins but you chose a AI Generated piece of shit for what reason exactly?
What is this nigga even supposed to be conveying here lol
In an interview with
@Nobbel87
and
@MarcelianOnline
, Blizzard discussed the Lightsmith Paladin hero talent tree for Holy and Protection specializations coming in The War Within, answering questions about the tree and its Holy Armaments!
PvP is a ghost town because Blizzard cannot be fucked to make it enjoyable for new arrivals. Sweaty cheeto bearded 2400+ rated Warrior Mains may hate hearing that, but they're precisely the problem with PvP Atm.
"Having to go through every expansion would scare away new players!"
Literally no other MMORPG has this problem.
"What about FF14?"
You mean the OTHER most popular MMORPG? Yeah I'm sure they're suffering.
Believing that WoW is worse thanks to wokeness and not the egregious lawsuit, poor management decisions, indifference to change and overwhelmingly bad PR is both a sign of bigotry and incredible amounts of stupidity.
this is why I think Exile's Reach is shit
It tells you utterly brainless stuff about your class / spec that no old or new player would think to be helpful or not already obvious, that and the story is forgettable
BFA will go down as a disappointment because it had lots of positives over shadowed by horrific negatives.
SL was shit from start to finish. A literal nightmare. It's highlight was the first 30 seconds of the trailer, right before Sylvanas bitched Bolvar.
I know this nigga mad as fuck I keep standin' his bitch ass up
sorry dawg I'm not going to the Shadowlands, if the Ebon Blade can't handle it that ain't my mother fuckin' problem
For the record, I appreciate Warcraft's place in the fantasy genre a whole lot more than I did before.
So much of the setting has amazing ideas and interesting concepts. A setting like WoW is good for all it's flaws, and I think the last few years have made us forget.
If you ask me, everyone should have to do TBC to DF.
Sorry not sorry, but questing really isn't a chore despite Blizzard pretending it is. The narrative is so foreign to most players because you can skip massive swathes of it the moment you hit current content.
Man Pre-Cata lore is sometimes the strangest thing.
Remember that Kaldorei Kingdom off the coast of Bloodmyst that rode dragons; who had a Prince blessed by Ysera herself? Ten thousand years ago?
Kill by Deathwing? Likely post/during WotA; but ain't that strange?
I don't know why it's confusing to people but no, The Horde should not be around an Alliance capital.
Why should they share? And if so, I hope you don't mind Humans and the rest of us in Orgrimmar or the Undercity.
Funny how factions matter until the Kaldorei capital arrived.
This is the ruins of Alterac City. I really like Alterac as a set of ideas. There's actually a lot that you can reliably head canon from what in-game is just a bunch of Ogres and 2004 ruined building assets.
The most interesting occurrence of the Second War lies here.
So. Gilneas is neutral in-game.
And the ensemble is cross faction.
And I can talk to everyone...
So when are we getting a neutral Orgrimmar? If it stays this way I'm going to be a lot more amicable to a neutral Silvermoon.
I cannot stress this enough but the Horde are outcasts; the entirety of their story in WC3 are literal refugees searching and finding a new home.
Orcs are slaves running from enslavement.
Darkspear lose the Echo Isles.
Tauren are hounded by Centaur.
They unite.
man.
They really lucked into Dragonflight's 10.0 narrative. They really can't stick a fucking landing.
Please stop buying into Wait & See. These are the people you're relying on.
Dragonflight is one of my favorite expansions.
That being said.
What exactly did you see in DF that gave people the idea that Blizzard can be trusting pushing out their story without feedback?
DF's story was good in places, bad in places, and peaked early.
My favorite part about Scarlet Crusade RPers is that when they make these sort of lists, they're basically admitting to all of this being true but either using whataboutism or outright saying "yeah it's fine" while pretending they're being rational while also hyping up their OCS.
I swear I'm not being horny I swear
But Kaldorei need to be a lot more sapphic in WoW in-game and out
Dawg if you think these elves are straight you have lost your fucking mind
So I don't hate this. I think it's harmless and I don't think I'd miss it after it's gone. Kinda fun.
I will spam it for cosmetics and you will not see me doing this as soon as I have everything I want.
guild I joined to support my friend has a DM who is using AI art to make their aesthetics and like, I'm sorry, what the fuck is this.
I know this scene, I know what it's stealing from. Why not just post a picture of it?
The idea of the Horde pre-WC3 fighting and winning against the Kaldorei straight up has convinced me none of the devs played WC3 and further they think the Kaldorei are total wimps.
The citizenry, the priestesses, all of the adult-aged Kaldorei are trained to fight.
Oh that's super interesting, the difference in this endless war AU is that the Third War never happened because the Alliance never disbanded after the internment camps, and was able to stop the Scourge from forming
Which then led to no peace via the Legion threat.
I think SoD exposes how much WoW has tossed aside via removing class quests.
I really love how you get some of the runes in the game, and it's only doing the bare minimum. Imagine what they could do in Retail.
