The reason Dragonflight sold less than Shadowlands is because Shadowlands was catastrophically bad for the company and brand, and Blizzard had let down millions of people thanks to the lawsuit alone.

Auberdine feels like a real town, more so than most others. It's spacious, alien, and grand. I feel bad I wasn't able to experience this.

For the record, I appreciate Warcraft's place in the fantasy genre a whole lot more than I did before.
So much of the setting has amazing ideas and interesting concepts. A setting like WoW is good for all it's flaws, and I think the last few years have made us forget.

The idea of the Horde pre-WC3 fighting and winning against the Kaldorei straight up has convinced me none of the devs played WC3 and further they think the Kaldorei are total wimps.
The citizenry, the priestesses, all of the adult-aged Kaldorei are trained to fight.
Oh that's super interesting, the difference in this endless war AU is that the Third War never happened because the Alliance never disbanded after the internment camps, and was able to stop the Scourge from forming
Which then led to no peace via the Legion threat.
