In packing up today, I came across this gem… On the left, @SenatorLeahy, who is stepping down today after 48 years. On the right, my Chief of Staff Andrew Gillespie who has been there for me and Vermonters and will be sorely missed. Thank you, Andrew, for your service.

As 2022 draws to a close, I hope Vermonters will join me in a moment of reflection today — celebrating the good, letting go of the bad, and rejoicing all we have come through together as a community and state. Here’s to only good things to come in 2023. Happy New Year, Vermont!

Earlier this year I wrote to our VT Congressional delegation urging them to pass an Afghan Adjustment Act. Afghans starting a new life in VT (and across the US) need to know they are safe and can remain in the US. I’m glad to see @ChrisCoons taking this up.
For 20 years, Afghans stood with U.S. soldiers and fought alongside them. I'm still pushing for the Afghan Adjustment Act because anything less than full passage is a failure of our moral commitment to them.

It was an honor to join many Vermonters yesterday to celebrate the Festival of Lights at the annual State House Menorah Lighting ceremony. Wishing all Jewish Vermonters a very happy Chanukah.

I’ve always said, “if you can see it, you can be it!” and “My office is your office!” As my time comes to a close, my hope is that we have a lot more kids across Vermont from all backgrounds and communities who know they too can be Lt. Governor. (3/3)

Over the last two years, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming hundreds of students to the State House virtually and in person. Many as part of my “Lt. Governor for a Day” program, and many as visitors. Last week I welcomed Elowen and her brothers as part of a school visit. (2/3)
