At my first job I wrote some internal slack bots using their web socket APIs. Rather than figuring out how to gracefully reconnect if the connection closed, I would simply crash the service and have the platform spin up a new instance that would then open a fresh connection.

Got @supabase to send me daily KPI emails straight from Postgres today. Mixture of normal SQL to get the data, pg_cron for scheduling and pg_net to send data to Mailgun API which we already use, 0 added cost.
