The clock strikes midnight, the final ever fireworks show has started. Irwindale Speedway has officially, hosted its final ever racing event.

UPDATE THREAD @GPSspeedway1 Pickens County zoning public hearing: Well attended by racing community. A small victory. Land sale not complete. Re-Zoning for a section of land (phase 1 - Manufacturing buildings) was passed w/ an amendment to not touch the track. Howeverโฆ.

Hinchliffe Stadium, best know as a Negro League Baseball Stadium, was also the epicenter (Paterson, NJ) of the east coastโs Midget Car Racing boom. It was featured in season one of #LostSpeedways w/ @DaleJr on @peacockTV Fantastic to hear it is getting the attention it deserves.
MLB analyst and former All-Star Harold Reynolds is pushing for a โField of Dreamsโ-style game at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. Hinchliffe is one of the last-standing Negro League ballparks. The 10,000-seat stadium is undergoing a $94 million renovation project.
