Although attendance is a national issue, there are significant regional differences. We need to find local solutions that address the complex intersecting causes. In London, key issues include housing, health and a shortage of high quality SEN/AP provision
The high rates of persistent and severe absence, especially among vulnerable children are a national crisis and need serious action now so children can have the chance to start anew in September.
