well-informed patients can't get their doctors to make the most basic accomodations to make accessing care safer, children are still hot-boxing garbage air in schools around the world.

public health institutions have not followed up recognition of airborne spread with massive campaigns to educate practitioners and the public, no municipalities are scrambling to create standards for cleaner indoor air.

there's a been a lot of progress recently in terms of the mechanisms of airborne transmission being officially recognized by public health orgs and in mainstream science journalism, however, the popular coverage has been lacking urgency, imo.

However, the PM 2.5 sensor is spot on with the built in sensor in my Xiaomi purifier, and drops down to 0 when I put it right on top of the purifier 🥰 . genuinely so grateful for this gadget which confirms my building air is as bad as I think it is!.

it's all secondhand smoke. it reeks out there! people are not allowed to smoke inside but the rule is not enforceable. I think I need to recalibrate the CO2 bit of my air fanta meter as it's coming out low compared to the Vitalite meter that I've compared to others' Aranets~.

my trusty PM 2.5 meter from @Engineer_Wong shoots up to 82 within 30 seconds of leaving my apartment into the hall 🥲. but drops down super fast as soon as I go back into my apartment with multiple purifiers
