Enforcement must be firm, consistent, and focused on accountability. As LoDDCA, we continue to call for proactive zero tolerance to substance abuse on our roads. Lives must come first.

These are long-standing regulations that the sector has needed reinforced for a long time. As LoDDCA, we welcome this move and hope it marks the beginning of consistent, fair, and sustained enforcement across the board. Road safety and professionalism must never be optional.
Not every day do we say this, but today @ntsa_kenya got it right. The Licensing team has issued a circular that re-emphasizes basic, non-negotiable standards and regulations within the PSV industry something the industry has needed for a long time. This is a welcome move. @LoDDCA

Trailer guys , understand some psvs and light trucks have speed governor which restricts speed to 80kph. Free wheeling then you start hooting and flashing at a vehicle that can't go beyond 80 is madness @loddca @ntsa_kenya @roadsensekenya @RSAIKenya @RSF_2020

We note the update, but NTSA has repeatedly ignored our complaints about companies and saccos violating the NTSA Act. Enforcement often targets drivers while employers go unpunished. Selective application of the law is not acceptable and undermines real road safety. @tawukenya
UPDATE: We contacted the Sacco and the driver will undergo a retest today. APPEAL: Report any instances of reckless driving on our roads by providing details such as the vehicle's registration number, the location of the incident, as well as the date and time. We assure you

This feels more like PR than action. Drivers have been excluded from the so-called “multi-agency framework” and current operations are turning into victimization points for drivers. Road safety can’t be selective.

Exactly. It requires accountability, consistent enforcement of the law, and genuine engagement with drivers, operators, and all real stakeholders on the road. Anything less is a failure.

No one in government — including its agencies — is willing to take accountability for the state of road safety. As LODDCA, we will not remain silent until meaningful action is taken. Lives are precious. Once lost, they can never be replaced.
These are the only people who are serious about road safety. Our professionals have no idea other than how to extract bribes and fines as people die
