I did a roundup of what turned out to be a very weird #Aras25 In 12 newsletters, 3 newspaper articles, & a few media bits, my goal has been to get on the record the ephemera of the digital campaign Reviewing it, its striking how much is already erased https://t.co/WTIc6dzYGu

Over the last few months I have tried to dig out and get on the record some of the hidden and more ephemeral aspects of this election. Here is a recap of what we covered.

Over on the newsletter: why Musk's intervention in #Aras25 is profoundly stupid, and stupidly dangerous https://t.co/awTT0GMVO4

I really, really hope this isn't the start of a whole thing. Elon Musk has tweeted about the race for the Aras in the most profoundly ignorant and stupidly dangerous way possible. The tweet is...

Same, I immediately think “oh look who lost a court case”
At this point, whenever I have to do an additional click to get on with what I was trying to do, I assume it's due to some EU law. Looks like I'm right in a lot of cases. This here is the newest popup that I've clicked away in multiple tabs on multiple machines now.

Politics is a brutal profession & for candidates an unpaid one that can come at personal expense It is rare to hear a candidate speak so candidly about what it takes to run - selling her car, time out from work Candidates get expenses back up to €38k- but she's 400 votes short
Social Democrats Dublin candidate Sinéad Gibney said it is "gut-wrenching, but that's the game" after she was just over 400 votes short of the amount that would her have allowed to recoup the cost of running her campaign | Follow live: https://t.co/HyJz6NNmG5

It is still going on BTW - we're on the 17th round - absolute nail biter
Dublin, 16th Count: Brid Smith (PBP-S) eliminated. Aodhán Ó Ríordáin does well but Cuffe hangs onto 5th. Will Clare Daly bridge the gap? https://t.co/bDiHeNGuQg
