This is my son’s rapid decline with #WhoopingCough (too young to be vaccinated). Day 1 in hospital he was OK, just tired & not breastfeeding enough. By day 5, he was gone 💔 There is no cure for whooping cough, only prevention (including pregnancy vaccination!) 🌀see thread🌀

A friendly reminder that #whoopingcough aka #pertussis is awful for little babies. I’ll never forget the look in Riley’s eyes as he tried to breathe in between coughing. Fortunately we can now vaccinate during #pregnancy to help keep our little babies safe ❤️

Got a kid under 5 or one who is over 5 and unboosted in Australia or the UK? Get angry and demand the very safe & effective vaccines be made available now. Death from cv is unlikely but so is every other cause. Long covid a lot more likely & also reduced by vaccines. Come on.
