Today we mourn the loss of Hon. Dr Bob Hawke, LLB, BA, DLitt.
Hawke was the Guild President in 1952 and the state’s Rhodes Scholar in 1953. UWA awarded him a LLB in 1951 and a BA in 1955. Upon his election as PM, UWA also honoured him with an Honorary Doctorate.

In sad news, a major section of our beloved 86-year-old Moreton Bay fig tree collapsed on Monday afternoon. 😢💔🌳
Fortunately, no one was injured and our team was quick to respond to cordon off the area.
