Licensing Act notice in a Wigan newspaper is £500. In Liverpool £400. In Southport £116. It’s just a pity that local weekly or bi-weekly rags aren’t available every where. It’s one big cartel.

Chair of the licensing committee told me the DPS must always be on the premises. Got shirty when I said he didn’t. Council solicitor stepped in and advised accordingly. The licensing act became law in 2005, almost 16 years ago. Doesn’t get more basic than this 😔
