Since then I’ve performed the entire piece 20-something times, raising over £30,000 for @YouthMusic @FutureTalentUK @LiveMusicNowUK @HelpMusicians, and sharing the music with people all round the country. Another 20-something performances still being cooked up - watch this space!.

6 years ago today I performed Book 1 of the 48/WTC/Well-Tempered Clavier/Preludeandfuguemetropolis for the first time! This was a dipping-toe-in-the-water go at the piece, with the idea a bigger project might be round the corner. Dreaming up @bachproject48 properly took lockdown!

Playing Rite of Spring with @ChrisHopMusic is a thrilling elemental bonkers experience and I loved revisiting it for the opening of @SomervilleOx Piano Festival this weekend, along with Rachmaninoff’s Second Suite. Beautiful playing by Izzy Mohan and Alfred Fardell too!

Three lovely autumnal days in Sheffield with the fab @MusicintheRound, playing six schools’ concerts with @Ensemble_360, presented by the amazing Lucy Drever. Every show had hundreds of KS1 children singing their hearts out, buoyed up by the music, captivated by it. 🥰

Busy and enjoyable few days back as a guest @Chethams, running sessions on making connections between languages, and on the meeting point of language and music - that intersection that creates the magic in vocal music ⭐️

Some places are always going to feel special, and this is one. Really lovely to be back at Uppingham today adjudicating the recital prize. The singing/playing was superb: congratulations to all finalists on their polish, commitment & hard work. Music dept seems in fine fettle!
