Cancer Neuroscience Laboratory @TheCrick investigating how tumours communicate with the rest of our body.

Huge shoutout to our most amazing communication team ! Thank you for creating this!.
Crick researchers have found that certain aggressive lung cancer cells can develop their own electric network, similar to the body’s nervous system. This can allow tumour cells to go ‘off grid,’ making them harder to treat.

The first paper from the #Cancer_Neuroscience Lab @TheCrick just got published in @Nature ! Checkout how lung cancer cells form their own electrical network and use that to promote malignancy, and how #intratumoural_heterogeneity and #lactate_shuttle play a role in that👉.

As our LRS (Laboratory Research Scientist), Charlotte was responsible for cataloguing and maintaining our cell line collection, and she has created many exciting new lines with various actuators and activity reporters herself! Here is Charlotte on her last day @TheCrick 👇
