Tweaking materials per mesh in Unreal (with custom primitive data) is quite handy. Fewer material instances/textures and easier to test different color combos etc. But easy to lose track of all the local overrides, so not exactly a win-win. #UnrealEngine #UnrealEngine5 #gamedev
