Because it was a strike and the umpire agreed with nature it was a strike.

I mean, they couldn't make it easier by actually setting up a box on the screen. How do viewers miss it? I blame lacrosse fans — and the ChiComs. Same thing basically.

@LeeSmithDC "Good Call" Good grief. The sooner they are replaced with technology the better. Hitters have a split second to determine if a pitch is a strike or not and react. When they make the right decision they should be penalized my an in competent umpire. That pitch wasn't even close.

In my country, where we invented baseball, balls and strikes are called depending on where the pitched ball crosses the plate, not where the catcher receives it. Bear down, man.

In baseball, the call depends on when the ball crosses the plate. But on twitter, you're 100% right.

Doesn't matter to me if women ump in organized baseball, but I do care about the strike zone. Good pitch, good call. Rock on, Lady Ump.
